While I realize that there are many opinions on Cad software packages, does anyone know what the best software for deriving orthographic views from 3-D drawings of vessels? I'm looking for something that will show hidden lines and hide nozzles so the can be shown as is typical with 2-D vessel drawings. Maybe after all these years, I'm still asking for too much. |

Most 3d software packages will create exactly what you are looking for.Even designing your vessels will be easier.Such packages are Solidworks, Pro Engineer, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, ACAD ( to a certain extent)You can download trials of these from the net along with tutorials but I would advise you to get video tutorials if you are not familiar with parametrics and feature based modelling. You can also buy the tutorials for a few dollars but the software is a bit more expensive.Hope this helps |
