Hi all I'm looking for some good websites where I can download drawings (for Autodesk Inventor) of parts (.ipt) files to use in assemblies. I'm looking for all sorts of standard parts like bolts, pipes, tubes, fittings, as well as assemblies with things like actuators, solenoids, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks, Bruno |

What version of Inventor are you using. IV9, 10, or 2008 I only ask, because Inventor comes with Content Center that has pre drawn Bearings, nuts, bolts, washers, cotter pins, etc that you can place in assemblies. Regarding solenoids, and cylinders, there is another function in inventor that allows you to go out and search their online library, but I forget how to use that right now. Many suppliers that manufacture products offer CAD models and drawings of their products to assist in design work for their customers. You may need to join an in-house group of some of those sites so that they will have feed-back on usage. These drawing and model sets may be tricky to find, but a quick phone call or e-mail will often get you instructions or a "back door" to the files. The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. |
