GepFEM Download
| A multi-purpose / multi-physics parallel finite element solver for the solid earth. Platforms:
Compilation of the GeoFEM source code (version 4.0) requires C++ and Fortran 90 compilers and an implementation of MPI. The code has been compiled and tested under the following OS: Linux, Digital UNIX 4.0x. For further information about platforms and configuration see the GeoFEM website. GeoFEM is part of the very ambitious Earth Simulator project begun in 1997. The latter aims at the development of a high performance massively parallel processing computer capable of 40 TFLOPS at peak and 5 TFLOPS effective speed (about 1000 times faster than current super computers). The GeoFEM component aims at the modelling and simulation of solid earth phenomena and development of associated large scale parallel software. When complete the project will be able to deal with problems on the scale of 100 million degrees of freedom.

Geocrack2D
| Geocrack2D has been used for several years. Supported by the Department of Energy and the Post-MTC (Murphy) project. GEOCRACK is a 2D coupled structural deformation/fluid flow/heat transfer program. It has been primarily developed to calculate fluid flow in jointed rock, such as occurs in a Hot Dry Rock geothermal reservoir. However, it can also be used to solve elasticity problems. All input is interactive, including visualisation of the results.Platform:
Windows 95/NT and Sun workstations

| The FreeFEM* programs are a family of open source adaptive FE codes which can be applied to solve a variety of pde's and pde systems. Platforms:
The program has been compiled on the Macintosh and Powermac, on PC's running Windows 3.1 and Windows 95, and on a variety of work stations (Sun, HP, IBM RS6000 etc). Windows and Mac executables are provided, otherwise compile from source.

Free Finite Element Package Download
| The Free Finite Element Package is a modular designed collection of C libraries. These libraries contain numerical methods required when working with linear and quadratic Finite Elements in two dimensions.
FFEP should meet the following requirements:
The Package should be easy to be used, well documented, stable, fast, portable and last but not least Open Source Software.
The required dense matrix and vector operations of the package are based on LAPACK and CBLAS. For more details of LAPACK and CBLAS see Related Links. The memory management, the interfaces to the CBLAS and LAPACK functions and some additional functionality are combined in the Meta Matrix Library, which can be used for numerical projects without the rest of the Library-Collection.
