Description: This standard covers types, sizes, tolerances, marking and nomenclature for ground, finishing type gear shaper cutters for generating involute spur and helical gears, splines, and serrations. It also covers ground, finishing type involute herringbone ger shaper cutters for generating herringbone gears. (e) Materials & Finishes and (f) Accessories. The purpose of this Standard is to supply plumbing code authorities and others with full knowledge of the minimum design and quality criteria for roof drains. It is not intended for use as a specification guide. CAUTION: Illustrations included in this Standard are intended only to describe and portray typical roof drain types and are not intended to restrict design or to be used for specification purposes.
