Description: This standard establishes methods to be followed in specifying data for gears with intersecting axes (bevel gears), and non-parallel, non-trisecting axes (hypoid gears). It also discusses the method of specifying matched sets on a gear drawing. The purpose of this standard is to establish engineering drawing standards which define the finished product for the following types of gears: straight bevel, spiral bevel, and hypoid.
