Rollers and Rolls are the cylindrical devices used within conveyors or other machinery which are used to transmit power or guide. Typically, rolls are used to guide wide belts, sheet metal, cloth or other materials during manufacturing or processing. Power may be transmitted through a roller by an electric motor to drive the processing machine. Rolls or rollers maybe plated with chrome, covered with rubber ( rubber rolls ), or other surface  treatments to better enable the roll to transmit motion or power.
