Metal Coatings Corp is an applicator of industrial coatings. In 1974, a hand full of employees started out in a rented warehouse processing a few customers' parts with a wide variety of coating specifications. The ingredients of survival as a small start-up company held us together during the formative years. We did phosphating, spray-painting, moly coating, and electroplating of zinc, cadmium, tin, and copper. If we were not already doing a coating, we invented a way to do it when asked. When a customer needed the difficult, we did it right away. When asked for the impossible it took a little bit longer. (Working around the clock became a habit that is still with us today.) With time we saw growth in the number of employees and shop space. Our niche evolved as we began to emphasize the things we did best. Other shops could handle the electroplating better than us, but nobody could coat nuts and bolts or machine parts better than we could. Our business grew in these two areas. We developed more efficient ways to process the increasing volume of nuts and bolts coated for use in chemical plants, refineries, offshore platforms, public utilities, and general industry. As the size and quantity of machined component parts for the oil and general industries increased, we changed our capabilities to stay ahead.
Today we employ 90+ men and women. The production area owned by Metal Coatings Corp is 70 thousand square feet and growing. The capacity of our new computerized bolt coating plant is twenty tons per day. Lift capacity, oven, spray booth, phosphating, and cleaning tanks for our machined parts shop are all sized to handle large and heavy pieces. We are compliant with all pertinent governmental regulations concerning health, safety, and the environment, and our QA program is ISO 9001 certified.
