Regarding Surface plating Question

Could some one help me in finding what is it.


Fe/z/Sn/5/b ( Given for plating finish.)

Fe is Base material / Ferrous).

Sn - is plating (TIN).

b - Bright finish.

5 - thickness.

z - ???? what is it.

I did a quick google search...."Fe/z/Sn/5/b" some metalurgy sites state (for what it's worth) that z is a subgroup compound of Fe.

Digging deeper into the metalurgy end or calling a plating house might work.

I'm not sure I have ever seen a plating requirement called out like that before. Is there an associated specification?

"z" is usually for zinc plating... but with tin... ???
