I see, something with the automatic email notifier. Configuration problem I think. I turned off my auto-email notifier script and it seem faster. Thanks... |

Thanks Randy, This server has yet to show me a load average over 1.9 with over 150 processes running during peak hours, which is a first. We had been seeing spikes up to 30 and above with over 600 processes waiting to run on the previous server during peak hours. I still have some strange stuff going on and am getting an education in LINUX server configuration. Seems over the years we have done a bunch of custom hacks to get things to work and did not document the technicals - oh well. I hope this server will allow the Engineers Edge to double in traffic before we have to upgrade the hardware.
