Silly question but I've used the term "P-Top" curb inlet for 20 years and have no idea what it stands for. Can anyone please tell me the "P" definition or what it stands for?

TIA

I'm going to watch this one. Not only do I not know what it means, I've never even heard the term. What field of engineering are you in?

Florida D.O.T. construction standards categorizes them by number (i.e. Curb Inlet Type 5). It's just a curb inlet found adjacent to almost any urban street or roadway. Basically collects the water running from a curb into this inlet then out to somewhere else. Anyone in the Civil Eng. field should have a good idea of what I'm talking about, probably slang used for years by many including me but never realizing what it really stands for.
