Hi Casper,

"do you have any idea what product that is good to develop? can i have your suggestion?"

Pertaining to your question, if I do have an idea about what product that is good to develop? well, there are a lot of products really to develop but of course you also have to determine or examine which aspect you think you are good or excel at? restaurant? engineering? marketing? etc.

In a addition, I read an article pertaining to quality management a couple of days ago which I think a very helpful tool for you when you are already decided with the product that you would want to develop.

Goodluck! and please keep me up to date with the progress of searching the product.

Hope this would help.

"do you have any idea what product that is good to develop? can i have your suggestion? "

That's a pretty broad brush stroke you're painting there but here are some thoughts...

Most products seem to come about, or come to exist... from a persons interest in a field or process, or necessity. Like they say... Necessity is the mother of all invention. So here's my suggestion to you. Kick back and think about what sorts of things really get your motor running. Then imagine a way that the thing could be better or more easily built... or more economically built... faster... more reliable... or more pleasing in any significant way... and Voila...! You'll be on your way. I've altered and tweaked and built many things over the years... as I'm sure all on this board have. As for myself, most of those things have usually been something work or hobby related... or in my current arena. When an idea for a product of some sort hasn't been something in line with what we do here at the shop I usually have found that my own wallet wasn't fat enough to develop it.

Point being... if you have zero interest in playing a tuba... and have never played one... it might be a waste of your time trying to come up with a tuba accessory that tuba players would desire. And you don't have to design an entire space craft to make a contribution to both society and your wallet. A small part on the space craft can also be critical and valuable.

Good luck and have fun.

"Necessity is the mother of all invention."

Necessity being the key word here. Ideas without necessity tend to be dreams and often become regrets when somebody else brings the invention to the world.

Casper_30,

What is going on? you looking for something to work on? ideas to sell?

Kind of an open question....I'm still working on the slotted tapped hole.

If you go to a site called www.elance.com. They have folks looking for help developing different stuff.

quoted by Marky: "Kind of an open question....I'm still working on the slotted tapped hole."

Wouldn't a cage nut work in a slot?

Ron!!!.....Where have you been...I've been working on this for 32 years. Man you're the greatest.

The slotted tapped hole is kind of personal joke. I was checking drawings many years ago...the engineer (a cocky one) was .12" off on the center distance between his clearance holes and tapped holes. I marked up his drawing to show a slotted (elongated) tapped hole...the drawing was updated to show a oval tapped hole.

I let it go until it got to the machine shop....

I have idea you can work on. It is a teleporter. It works when you flip a few switches on a panel and move a switch. The interior components get a little fuzzy, but it is an idea.

Another is fusion. Very simple concept, with a readily available working model (large scale) with a few engineering challenges.

I guess if the problem is readily solvable and known, it is solved. If the problem is very identified and not solved, there are usually some massive engineering challenges.

If I had an idea that needed to be developed.. I'd develope it.. ya think?

Instead of asking for an idea that needs to be developed, look for a problem, bottle neck, missing link, a I could do this better if, or a "doesn't work so good situation" and develope a solve or better product. (necessity the mother of invention).. as Kelly said.

The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them.
