Hi All I'm looking for some source to how calc belt conveyor.

I have to move 100 Metric ton ( 220000) pound of fertilizer.

Some like it.

This what I have:

To estimate the approximate conveyor power for a simple in-plant inclined conveyors:

Power = t/h(Capacity) x lift(m) x 2.72 x 1.3 kW

From this you calculate the torque, if you have the speed and pulley diameter from the following:

Torque = 9.55 x power divided by pulley rpm kN-m

Simplified:

Power = t/h x lift x 3.75/1000

3.75 is a factor for drive efficiency (0.95) the 100 is for units

Only works for inclined conveyors
