we have a vacuum furnace in our refinery and our management plan to inrease the tube skin temperature to the value of 630 Celcius for better yield on asphalt mode. but we have some doubths about that ...the material of the tube 9Cr1Mo and design temp of it is 500Celcius...can any one tell me about the restrictions about that interms of creep and other possible mechanisms...thank you... |

You need to find materials creep/applied load vs. temperature chart for the specific materials your considering. ASM or ASTM may have that specific information. |
