We recently sent the rotor of our 2 MW AC brushless synchronous generator for rewinding, and the final testing/inspection is coming up. Can anyone tell me whats the test procedure for this purpose? What does one have to check during the testing? Any checklist? |

Hi and welcome to the forum. Is it possible for you to contact the original manufacturer for their recommendations? |

Hi Marky, I have been trying to contact the manufacturers but they have not yet responded. What are the general tests that we need to do apart from megger, hipot, impedence check etc? |

sounds like you hit the big ones. 1) check impedance 2) check inductance 3) check balance. 4) you could check the B field strength at the poles, make sure
