Hi and welcome to the forum....I'm not sure that I understand the question. Are you inquiring about a rivet or the tool to install the rivet.

I think Gane, maybe be looking for a "Bucking Bar" if Gane is talking about a solid rivet.

What ever be the rivet. As far as i know the rivet installation can be classified into 3 types
standard driven, overdriven and slightly overdriven.
I just wanted to know the difference in these installation processes....

Thanks for the support

Ok, your talking about solid rivets. These are not catagories as I understand, these are the state of installation. There is also slightly under-driven, etc...

Catagories of rivets include: pop-rivets, blind rivets, cherry rivets (heated before bucking operations), solid rivets, Clutch rivet, tube rivets, cold and hot rivets, lock rivets, Self-pierce rivets, and others..

When a solid rivet is driven properly, the mushroomed head will (should) be a certain diameter and height.

See: http://www.engineersedge.com/rivet_application.htm

See the illustration below Table III.
