Normally installed FCU's tend to recirculate the room air and we are forced to compromise on IAQ as no fresh air is inducted.How a chilled water FCU can be installed that has the fresh air intake also to keep the room environment healthy.If we supply the treated fresh air to the room where FCU is intalled, where Fresh air outlet shall be left.Would it be necessary to extract out some of air also.And in case FCU is switched off because of no occupancy, will this fresh air intake and extraction continue to work in that room.I am in the process of designing a 4 star hotel and intend to employ the fresh air concept for chilled water FCU's, something that is rarely considered during FCU installation.Thanks |

Hi and welcome to the forum....ummm What's an "FCU"? It looks like you've answered your own question...."I am in the process of designing a 4 star hotel and intend to employ the fresh air concept for chilled water FCU's, something that is rarely considered during FCU installation". |

FCU is a fan coil unit, people related to HVAC field are pretty much aware of the term.
