Can anybody give the requirements for the Fit for a thin shell housing in which a bevel shaft is fitted with two sph roller bearings. The Housing is slided in a Rigid gear box bore and tightened with bolts. The bevel contact load is thus like a cantilever.
What should be the Gear Box bore and the Housing OD fit ? What will be the effect if the clearance is increased say by a factor 25% ? |
