I think the where the Taylor Priniple helps you most, and something an inspector needs to understand with respect to is that a part can fall within a dimension at various locations across the part, but fail due to the Taylor principle. In the example of the .750 block, an inspector can measure various points on the block with calipers and assume the part passes. But, if he was to put the part on a table and use a height gage at various points across the part it could fail due to the warping.
