In a temp and humidity controlled room temp environ, I have a chrome plated elect connector being bulkhead mounted in a 6061 alum, 1/8 thick plate. The plate is powdercoated on both sides, but is masked on the inside of the plate where the connector fits in. The plate will have Chromate conversion coating per MIL-5541 (Alodine) applied to all of it. Would you expect any visible galvanic corrosion to occur where the chrome plated connector contacts the aluminum panel? I need it to look good for at least 7 years. Thanks for your advice.
