Hi, recently i need drawing case which shape and dimensions are based on pcb bottom view. however, when i got the drawing in dxf format from pads, it contained a lot of layers that are at least 50 or more.it took a lot of time to identify what layers belong to bottom side and then made them become certain image in mind so that i could decide which shape and dimensions would be suitable and useful to draw the case.
i saw some pcb bottom views generated from some pcb softwares were very realistic. but i don't know how to get it. any help is very appreciated.

The simplest way is to print the Bottom layer's artwork to Gerber or PDF and use a conversion program to get DXF from that. PDF-to-DXF conversion programs can be had in the $50 range.

I would think the DXF would have all the files listed by name and extention. So only activating the bottom layer of the DXF would save some problems. Not knowing what software you're using, I use Altium for PCB design and I made 3Ds of the pcb in Solidworks via a 3rd party interface program. The replication is as exact as it can get and from there I can design a case to fit the PCB perfectly.
