I am setting up to weld Inconel to AISI 4340, 330Hb steel bar. The weld diameter of the Inconel and the bar is 0.875 inch OD with a machined ID pocket. This combination yields a weld surface area of 0.38 square inches. My parameters are 0.070-0.080 inch upset. I plan to use a flywheel with weld pressure of 375 psi and upset pressure of 1350 psi. What combinations of rpm and flywheel mass will achieve this weld?
