Hello All
I do have a mild steel plate (300mm X 300mm X 10mm thick), so my question is how much load can be hold by that plate?

What is the plates purpose?
How is it being loaded?
Is this H:W?
Welcome to the forum.
Depends on the loading configuration and material characteristics...

Hello All
Thank for reply
we are doing elevators. now, we are installing some hooks in to the concrete slab of 200 mm thick to hold a machine in lift shaft well. but now i want to use a mild steel plate instead of those hooks, so i have designed a specific plate, however i cant find how thick steel i have to use. concrete strength is 30 MPA. and load is point load. and the load is 2.5 tonne. please find attached picture of that plate.
