I am extremely new to fabrication and was wondering how i can calculate how much weight a fabricated bicycle frame can hold. As i am currently doing a 2 stroke conversion on an old pedal bike and need to make a new peice for the frame sturdy enough to hold me and the engine.
For extra info i weigh 175lb (79.3787 kg) and the engine weighs 25lb (11.3398 kg)
You will need to either model the frame in an analysis program or do the statics and dynamics load vs stress and strain calculation by hand.
