Hi, would anyone be able to calculate or tell me how to the maximum load a carbon fibre rod would carry if supported at both ends. The rod is 830mm long and has a 20mm diameter. The tensile strength is 1610 Mpa the compressive strength is 1050 Mpa tensile modulus 123 Gpa. I am not a mechanical engineer and have been trying to find out how to solve this using google. I would appreciate any help.
