    Calculating tipping force?

    I have a 200cm tall 135kg object that I want to tip over when 65kg is applied at 140cm (see diagram below)
    How do I calculate what length the base (L) should be for this to work?

    My Two Cents

    There is more to it than your sketch shows. You need the location of the CG, including its vertical location. When the CG moves over the outside of the base, it will tip. Also, you don't say if the force is radial or stays horizontal.
