    Heat Transfer Problem

    Hey Folks,

New here, so I am not sure if this is the place to post this problem/question. So sorry if its in the incorrect place. Anyways, I am trying to solve an everyday problem.. How long does it take a cup of frozen yogurt to start melting in a styrofoam cup. I am not sure if there are any heat transfer gurus in this forum or anyone who can recall all the equations of heat transfer. I really only need the mathematic equations as I am going to play with the numbers a bit. So you can assume whatever surface area, mass, etc. you want. Thank you for the help. Cheers

    Welcome to EE!

The following heat transfer video is similar to the problem you are try to solve. I believe you should be able to extrapolate the equations you need.
