Need Help About Helicoil Repair On Pressure Containing Parts

I had Non Conformity report from vendor on Code 62 Flange bolt pattern true position call out 0.010 and they machine with 0.120. One tapped hole is misplaced and they want to helicoil repair.

I am not fan of helicoil repair on pressure containing part which is going in very harsh environment.

Welding and re-tapping as well as installing threaded inserts is a common practice with pressure vessels and is approved under certain ASME Pressure vessel codes.

I would recommend that if a the re-work/repair is done to use tang-less threaded inserts.

    Thanks Kelly.

One question I will prefer to use Inconel750 helicoil to repair this as base material is 316ss.
This is going to use in sea water 5500 ft under water.
Do they have chance to galvanic corrosion ?
