    Bolt Stress Question Newbie

Hi. Can anyone help me with my problem

Im using an 8mm 8.8 high tensile bolt and need to know what the breaking strain is of a 16mm long piece. I calculated it as 800N/mm2 (8)which equals 0.09 tons force per mm x 16 =1.44 tons but it will start to deform at 80% (.8) so breaking strain would be 1.152 tons before it starts to bend and 1.44 tons to snap? Am i way off or Correct?
