finding time for completion of one lap of a race car using simulink?

hi. can you explain how lookup tables work. i have to simulate a car on a certain track to find the time for one lap completion. and i was wondering that maybe i can use lookup table to specify the turning point on the track to let the program know that the car is going to turn after certain distance. thanks

If you are talking about Excel, which has the only "lookup tables" I know of, then I would suggest you find a forum for Excel. Or better yet, you can learn about lookup tables the same way I did - read about it in Excel Help.

actually i am supposed to simulate a race car on a track using simulink to find time for one complete lap depending on the speed, velocity and drag force. so far i have been only able to simulate on a linear race track. i want to simulate the car on a race track with curves and turns?
