    Give this go

Being a wiki entry, it's pretty easy to follow for the general PLL operations and uses.

I studied this still in confusion
I will tell what I understood .. Phase locked loop means to give some limit or threshold for the phase of any signal..?

It monitors an incoming signal by running it through an oscillator, so it can compare the incoming signal to the out going. It then uses feedback to match the referencing oscillator to the incoming signal so that the outgoing signal is the same.

Great for picking out your favourite radio station in high signal noise.
