Nut & Olive Compression Fitting Design

    Hi,
I need to design a 1/4" BSP nut and olive compression fitting, but I cannot find any design advice for the nut and olive.
Having had numerous different ones manufactured in China, I have discovered that the thicknesses and angles used need to be very precise to work well.

Is anyone able to point me to somewhere with the design criteria?

    Thanks in advance!

    Greg

In much of the world the "Olive" is called a "Ferrule". So, you might search the internet for "ferrule" instead of "olive". Ferrules and olive fittings are also called compression fittings.

If you cannot find any design data or industry standard specifications I would examine existing compression fitting designs and derive your own from the data.
