    Steel Plate Deflection Advise Plz

    Hi All,
I want to find the deflection in steel plate, 1.2 mm thickk and 600mm(breadth) by 1000mm Length clamped on all edges. What formula would be useful? Thanks

I am working on a water tower job and I am in need of some assistance. I would like to verify if the landing plate is strong enough. It is a 1/4 inch thick plate spanning 36". When I do the math I come up with .81 deflection. I do not think this is correct. Please help. Please dont tell me to use the calculators Id like to do it long hand.

If you post a screenshot/photo of your hand calcs it'll be a lot easier to spot where numbers aren't being crunched.

Could you not answer your own question by at least just comparing your result to that of the online calculator?
