first all I need to know the material type, grade, thicknes.
I am utilizing the Engineers Edge Calculator to determine the required wall thickness of a steel pressure vessel.
There are two (2) calculators, one is called "Longitudinal Shell" and the other is "Circumferential Shell"
My pressure vessel is a vertical cylindrical steel tank, 96" diameter shell, by approximately 10' tall (domed top and bottom). it will have four (4) welded legs.
Does anyone know which type of shell i have? And if you can explain the difference, i would greatly appreciate it!!
