    Cam drive type selection

    Hi Everyone,

We are looking to manufacture/assemble combined drawing machine suitable for 8-20 mm steel bar. So in the extrusion process cam drive is used to drive the pulling trolleys.

    Link removed...

My question is - Among the Single vs Double vs Flange cam drive type, which one shall be better off in terms of operatiions, durabilty, replicability, efficiency, etc.?

Looking forward to some guidance/suggestions in this aspect.

    Thanks,
    Vineet Agarwal
PS- We are operating chain bull block type draw benches since 1962. Look to improve our infrastructure.

Each type was invented for a reason. You must analyze the loads, operating conditions, maintenance conditions, the desired operating life and select which variety works best for you. Your best source of advice on the selection will come from the manufacturers themselves, but only after you can define the above factors.
