I am interested in a Mechanism which i will have to use in a machine i am working on. The motion of the mechanism has to be it halts for 6 seconds then makes a stroke in the liner direction in 3 seconds and then again halts for 6 seconds. The length of the stroke should be 300mm.
Please help with such mechanism.
NOTE: It is a 1000mm x 1400mm machine therefore can not use CAMs of larger size.

You need to describe the full motion. What you describe is the requirement for only 1/2 of the units stroke, if this is the extension stroke then what are the requirements for the retraction stoke?
