Hey Everyone,

I want to start off by saying that I am NOT and Engineer or engineering student, I'm a Physical Therapy student that wants to attempt a project to make my life easier. I have this massage table as seen here (link removed).

The height is manually adjustable and quite frankly it a huge pain. I was thinking that I could possible replace the legs seen here

with 4 x 200 mm stroke double action pneumatic cylinders I found on ebay pretty cheap with feet on the ends

Or

I would then rig it up to a pedal so I could pump air to lift the table and press to lower the table.

My questions are as follows A) Do you guys think 4 pneumatic cylinders would hold the weight of a person and B) How would I rig up the release aspect, would I use a 2 way valve? Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for reading.

Jason
