Straightness Tolerance on a Turned Part

    Hello,

I had a simple question about how you are allowed to apply the straightness tolerance (surface, not median line) to a turned part with two different outer diameters. Could you apply the the straightness tolerance to the overall length dimension or do you have to use two different tolerances on each outer diameter individually?

    Thanks!

If the required tolerance for each diameter is the same indicate 2X or direct two separate leader/arrows as required. Ensure you are indicating the tolerance in the correct view. Otherwise two separate feature control frames.
