    GD&T dispute

Please see the attached drawing. In my opinion, the displaced face does not affect the position of the hole, but most engineers in my office believe that the position of the hole is out of tolerance when the basic dimensions do not intersect on this face. Please settle this dispute

The position tolerance specification for the hole is a tolerance cylinder that is located and oriented to the specified datums A | B | C.

It is located and oriented at the 1.343 and 4.335 basic dimensions as well as the 20 deg. basic angle. The axis derived from the as-built hole feature ( .010 mmc and datum A mmc) must fall within that tolerance cylinder which is oriented and located as specified.

The location of the tolerance cylinder specified by the Feature Control Frame IS NOT effected by the face being manufactured .06 too deep.
