    Bottling Plant Design

Hi - I am student learning manufacturing related subjects.

I am looking for some information of design of bottling workstations (pepsi/soda kind of stuff). Very basic stuff - what steps are automated, what are not, what kind of line is it etc? But strangely, I am not able to find too much info.

    I am looking for
    - Manual Bottling plants
    - Semi Automatic plants
    - Fully Automated

Can someone point me to some links if possible?

Type "bottling equipment" ... or " bottling line" ... or "Bottling" ... or "bottling process."

You'll get more information than you can shake a stick at.

I did the googling - mostly I got trade ads from bottling equipment suppliers which mostly contains just photographs huge sophisticated bottling plants. I am a looking at a simpler design written in an academic sort of way where I can understand what are the components, what goes on etc.

When you say you are a student... It implies...

The policy on this board is to not do homework for folks. The intent of having you do the research to better understand the bottling process and the different levels of automation so that you expose yourself to all of the real world... stuff that's out there. It might give you cause to think about what has been developed and what might have inspired that development. Maybe you'll even accidentally stumble onto other mechanical or engineering concepts in your research that could prove beneficial to you further down the road. It's a way to get some exposure to that process without actually working in a bottling plant.

    Good luck...!

Mechboy (Student) look at these videos you should be able to compile your own report from observation. If your don't know the name of some of the equipment and manufacturing tasks steps - just make one up (descriptive).

Be aware that since you are a student doing what appears to be homework/research that we can't provide direct answers or descriptions, etc...

Yeah - this is homework research. And I don't want direct answers - I am looking only for links. However, all these videos are highly sophisticated fully automated bottling plants. I am looking for manual bottling lines and semi automatic (where some steps are automated but not all).

Then what you are after would be under a heading of HISTORY of bottling equipment, or history of bottle filling processes, history of bottling patents, etc.
