    load calculation for expanded grating

AN engineer and myself are here at work trying to find information. We are looking for stainless steel expanded grating that will hold 300 lbs/sq ft. We have called steel suppliers with no avail to information nor load tables. What size do I need? Can some one help me please??

Supports are at a span of 30"

I assume you mean 30" square?

Can you not use support angles welded at 45-deg legs pointing down, so stuff runs past the angle?

Most of the grating manufacturers I have ever worked with provided loading capacity information. Try their websites. I'll bet you will find something.
