quick structural design tools (i.e. MIT's "Immersed Design" and Zurich's eQUILIBRIUM"

    Hi All,

I'm looking for a free graphical statics tool that I can use to quickly calculate the reaction forces and internal stresses of statically indeterminate truss structures.

My aim is to analyze and compare some brainstormed concepts for lightweight, guyed tower and lattice structures for large multi-MW wind turbines.

Don't worry....I am well aware of the complexity of this task and analysis...I'm just looking for a tool that will allow me to quickly test the effects of different configurations without a lot of modeling before i go into the FEA.

Unfortunately, the aforementioned options from MIT and ETH Zurich have dead websites and are no longer supported. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated...thanks!

Not sure exactly what you are looking for, but would SAP2000 be of use?
