Hydraulic & Pneumatic Torque Wrenches are industrial torque tools used to install or remove fastener in applications requiring high torque or production performance. In most heavy industrial fastener applications, the requirement for applied high torque to nuts and bolts are due to:

  • Fatigue loading or installation requirements.
  • Removing challenging fasteners that have been torqued to high loads or have been exposed to corrosion or heavy loading conditions resulting in galling.

Technicians sometimes use breaker bars with extended length "cheater pipes" attached to remove or torque fasteners in these challenging situations. However, all industrial tools and technicians have their operating limits and can break or injure. In these “controlled torque” or "power torque" applications, industrial Hydraulic & Pneumatic Torque Wrenches are the logical solution. Other wise, technicians will likely strip threads, break bolt heads or even cause personal injury.

Hydraulic & Pneumatic torque tools can operate through the application of fluid pressure to a ram that extends and retracts, ratcheting the head. These specialized industrial torque wrenches are available i a wide variety of applied torque ranges, sizes and sensitivities.
