Air Operated Pump Review

Air operated pumps are so named because they use compressed air to operate the pumping action of the pump. Air operated pumps are used to pump a wide variety of liquids, slurry's, and gasses.

Air operated pumps are designed and manufactured to operate at almost any operating pressure and pumped median flow. These pumps are available to deliver constant flow, high pressure or demand pulsating flow. Pumps may be equipped with electronics to sense and control critical operating parameters or provide flow on anf off operations.

Air-operated pumps are used in the following applications: Intermittant pressure and flow applications, water blasting and water cutting, pnuematic presses, metal manufactruing such as, blanking, piercing, forming, pressing, clamping, and positioning.

Other more specific names for air-operated pumps are: rotary pumps, diaphram pumps.
