: if you have any problem to roll over the teeth number there is only one thing to do. to decide what to do. for example: according to your gear ratio if tyou calculate the gear number 63.15 you can take 63 or 64 which depends on you. and according to the failure standarts you should to check the failure in your gears. for example according to the DIN standarts 3% failure is acceptable. I hope that would give you an idea or an encouragement to roll the numbers in your design..
