Shear capacity of bolts

I am using metric bolts of strength designation 4.6 and 8.8. Ultimate and tensile tension capacities can be readily calculated as the first figure is one tenth of the ultimate tensile stress (in kgf/mm˛) and the second figure is one tenth of the percentage of the ratio of minimum yield to minimum ultimate stress.
So for grade 4.6 UTS = 40kg/mm˛ and yield = 60% of this. I cannot find the derivation of shear capacities for bolts in any material.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
