That is a 100 HP motor with a 9-1 gear ratio?

Be sure to supply ample dia. shafts.!!
I'd go with either the 15-5SS or 4140HT if it were me.
... geeeze ... be careful, a slight % error is
going to result in a large difference in forces.

Note: 15-5ss has a wonderful ability to take flex
and twist and hang in there, grain is important to
consider, but in a round bar the grain will be
linier as you want it to be. .... geeeze ...

I've never designed a torque shaft so big and
with such forces, I hope someone else has and will
support or correct my suggestion. Please do not
design these shafts on my suggestion alone for
this reason. ...
