Hi,

I'm trying to figure out a way to support a vertical support. In this picture - its the short shaft above the spur gear. I was thinking about a stepped end of the shaft supported by a cylindrical thrust roller bearing. I just cant seem to get my head around how would the step rest on the bearing... Would you know any better solutions - I couldnt find any good info on vertical shaft supports. Here's a render:

I'd really appreciate any help

Cheers
Pawel

Alter the end cap on the pump or what ever that is to include a bearing at the location of that shaft end. This will maintain the gear pitch alignment, too. The end cap would be kind of peanut shaped with the bearing off to one side.
