Have been looking for lateral load calculations for sheet metal screws in plywood, can anyone help?

When you say "lateral load do you actualy mean shear load applied to the screws/wood? For Pine the allowable shear stress is 103 lbs/in square.  I would think that a simple shear equation using the cross section of the minor diameter would work fine. stress = force/area. Hope this helps!
