Sheet Metal flat patterns for (rect to rnd cone) Post Reply Forum
Posted by: johnnycat ® 05/08/2003, 12:23:34 Author Profile Mail author Edit Would like to know how to verify a flat pattern for a rectangle to round cone in sheet metal. I am using Solidworks to model and flatten the part but could use a formula for laying out cones and (rectangle to round) cones. Any useful info or reference material would be greatly appreciated.

I know that it is common to specify the end item on your drawing and then let the manufacturer figure out how to get there.
