Hydraulic motor conversion

I have a common 3-point pto driven pull behind tractor mower. I would like to convert it to a hydraulic motor so I can use it on my excavator for cutting brush. Can you point me in the right direction. I'm sending two pictures of one I have found. I don't know what size motor or how to couple the motor to the mower shaft. Let me know what you think.

hi i am ram from india, for hydrraulic conversion, u woud require a motor, if u already have a motor, u need a pump to match ur load, or application, things u need, 1. a powerpack or an oil tank in other words, 2. a set of valaves such as, pressure relief valaves, flow control valves, directional control valves, set of hydraulic hose. 3. and a cooling unit in case the oil heats up, as it is a continuous process. so all these could cost u too much.........and its not affordable.......try some method not invloving hydraulics.......it is too space consuming, and heavy........ regards, ram

You have tu put a PUMP+tank+reliefvalves and so on at the mover shaft.

You might check out Tractor Supply or equivalent and see what they have in stock. I do know that hydraulic drive rotary cutters are available for purchase, so you might first look to see if it is less expensive to just buy one. Often it is more expensive to buy components and repair or upgrade than it is to just buy a finished product.

I agree with Kelly, hydraulic components, when purchased "one off" can get very expensive. Mower builders would have been able to get them in quantities to drive down costs, making this a more reasonable priced unit, already built ready to use. The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them.
